1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons finely minced onion
2 teaspoons French mustard
5 slices rye bread
It's easy to prepare, budget-friendly and great-tasting Cheese Puffs recipe:
1. Preheat the griller. Combine the mayonnaise, cheese, onion and mustard.
2. Place the bread in a shallow baking tray and toast one side lightly under the griller. Spread the cheese mixture over the untoasted sides, then cut each slice into 4 triangles or squares.
3. Grill 15cm from the heat for 2 minutes, or until the cheese spread is golden brown and slightly puffed. Serve immediately.
Tip: You can complete this recipe to Step 3 about 1 or 2 hours ahead of time, then grill the cheese-spread bread just before serving.
