1 cup unsifted plain flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
250g sausage meat
1 cup grated tasty Cheddar cheese (about 125g)
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1. Preheat the oven to 230°C. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl, then add the sausage, cheese, butter and Worcestershire sauce. Blend well with a wooden spoon or with your hands.
2. Roll the mixture into 2cm balls; it should yield about 36 pieces. Place the balls about 1 cm apart on a greased baking sheet and flatten them slightly with the heel of your hand. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pieces are golden brown on the bottom.
