This easy Blender Chocolate Mousse food recipe is the perfect way to end your lunch and dinner:
This chocolate mousse requires at least 50 minutes' chilling time, but you can prepare it as much as a day ahead and refrigerate it. If you like, serve it with cream whipped just before serving or with Whipped Cream Topping, below.
4 eggs
1 block (200g) semisweet chocolate or 1 packet (200g) choc-bits
5 tablespoons boiling water or coffee
˝ teaspoon vanilla essence or 2 tablespoons rum

1. Separate the eggs, placing the whites in a small mixing bowl and the yolks in a cup. Beat the egg whites until stiff but not dry. Put aside.
2. Break the chocolate block into small pieces and put them into the jar of an electric blender. Switch on and off to break up the pieces. Add the boiling water, and blend until smooth.
3. Add the egg yolks and vanilla. Blend 1 minute, or until thoroughly mixed. Pour the chocolate mixture slowly over the egg whites, and fold in gently until no white shows. Spoon into individual dessert dishes or a 1-litre serving dish. Refrigerate 50 minutes, or until firm and well chilled.
